Karen & Julian | Simonstone Hall - Hawes | 13th June 2009

This is a wedding I have been lookig forward to for ages. Simonstone Hall is a new venue for me and I was just praying the sun would be shining!. It was not looking good on the way over. The sky was darkening and rain drops were starting to hit the windscreen. However by the time I got to the venue and met up with Julian after his walk the sun was starting to appear. After a quick look round the venue it was off to meet Karen for the preparation. As you can see from the photos the venue is fantastic with plenty of photo opportunities. Karen & Julian | Pre Wedding Shoot | York

On Wednesday evening I had the pleasure of meeting up with Karen & Julian for their pre wedding shoot.

The shoot took place at their home in Copmanthorpe York. They are getting married on Saturday 13th June at the fabulous Simonstone Hall (http://www.simonstonehall.com/) in Hawes.

New Addition to the family!

Some of you may have noticed that it has been quiet on the blog for a while. The reason for this is that I became a dad again on the 28th April.

Our daughter Lydia was born at 9:30pm weighing 8lb 5.5oz.

Needless to say the last few weeks have been a little manic but fun! I am now back on track and looking forward to a summer of weddings.

Wedding Fair | Sunday 19th April 2009

On Sunday I was exhibiting at the Merchant Adventurers Hall wedding fair in York.

The sun was shining and the crowds were coming through the doors so all in all an excellent day was had by all.

One thing the event made me again realise is even with the current economic situation people are still getting married, which is great to see.

Thanks to all the people who took time to speak with me and view my work. I will be in touch over the coming days as promised and hope to meet with you again soon.

Below is a picture of my display stand at the fair. As you can see the quality is rather poor but not bad for my trusty Nokia 6230i phone (1.3 megapixel!!). I was there to show my photographs not take them :o)

World Record 5 a Side Football Match | Leeds | 4th & 5th April 2009

On Saturday the 4th April a team of guys set out to beat the 5 a side world record for charity. Jon & Andrea set out the challenge to raise money for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund at Leeds LGI. Their daughter Zoe had life-saving open heart surgery when she was three weeks old. This charity is also special to my wife and I as our son Cameron also has a heart condition and recieves support from the Children's Heart Surgery Fund.
The sixteen lads played for 25 hours, beating the previous record by 30 minutes!. In the final reckoning, the Lionhearts pipped the Bravehearts by 502-323. Top goalscorer was Lee with 168. An amazing effort from all the lads and each and every volunteer who came along.
To date they have raised a staggering £12,619.
Well done to all.

Lisa & Ian | The Grange Hotel York | 21st March 2009

On the 21st of March I photographed Lisa & Ian's wedding at the Grange Hotel in York. The weather was exceptional and felt more like August than March!
It was a great day and plenty of memories were captured.
