Living Brides Wedding Fair | York Race Course | 18th October 2009

On Sunday I had the pleasure of exhibiting at this years second Evening Press Living Brides wedding fair at York Race Course. As always I had the pleasure of speaking with many bride and grooms about photography for the big day.

Chrissie & Chris | Bedern Hall | York | 5th September 2009

The day started wet for Chrissie & Chrissie's wedding at Bedern Hall (http://www.bedernhall.co.uk/) in York. However the sky's were kind when it came to photos! This was my first time at the venue and I have to say it's a lovely intimate setting and ideal for those smaller wedding parties looking for something a little different. The day started with me meeting both Chrissie and Chris at the Monk Bar Hotel for preparation shots. It was here that I asked to photograph the rings and Chris realised they were still at home!!!. After some panic the rings arrived with 10 minutes to spare and all went well. Thank god I was there! ;o) Congratulations to Chrissie & Chris.

Lesley & James | The Merchant Adventurers Hall | York | 30th August 2009

It's been a manic couple of months for weddings hence my lack of activity on my Blog! Over the next week I intend to get a few more weddings on to the blog to show people what I have been up to. Back on Sunday 30th August I had the pleasure of photographing Lesley & James's wedding at the fantastic Merchant Adventurers Hall in York. I met Lesley at a wedding fair last year at the MAH and we managed to get on really well. At least I think we did as they decided to book me! Lesley and James are from the West Midlands but decided to tie the knot here in York. The day was a success and many wonderful memories were captured. Below are just a few shots from the day.

Child Portrait Shoot | Client Home | York | 23rd August 2009

Following on from the wedding on Saturday it was over to a child portrait shoot on Sunday morning. A good friend of mine organised the session for her friends who are emigrating to Austrailia on the 12th September. I also know Kathryn, Mark and little Zak having done some photographs for them last year. The plan for the day was to get 8 children all looking at the camera. Yeh right!! However some fun was had by all and below are a selection of B&W images from the day.

Sharon & Daniel | Haxby Methodist Church & Long Marston | York | 22nd August 2009

On Saturday 22nd August I had the pleasure of photographing Sharon & Dan's wedding. Although they had a traditional church wedding in Haxby (well a little more up beat than most!) they opted for a less traditional marquee affair at Long Marston just outside of York for the reception. What can I say...150 guests, sun shining, great location, great food and one of York's finest party bands the Goosehorns to finish the evening off. Dan runs his own very successful Technical Stage Services business so needless to say the lighting etc. for the day was top notch!. Congratulations Sharon & Dan. Great couple and a great day!

Chrissie & Chris | Pre Wedding Shoot | 15th August 2009

Last Saturday I met with Chrissie & Chris for their pre wedding shoot in York. After a coffee at Costa it was off to Bedern Hall (the wedding venue) to run through their plans then over to the Minster Gardens. When they booked me last September Chrissie was pregnant. As you can see from the photos they now have a lovely daughter called Alexis. They are getting married on Saturday 5th September. Watch this space for photos.
